    Best place for gas?

We have a winner. Whitelaw automotive in Woodstock (Carquest), exchanged without issue. Called them up and they said they didn't care whose cylinder it was they would exchange it. Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions.

    Best place for gas?

80cf cylinders I called Peavy and they said it had to be a Praxair cylinder. I might try just showing up and seeing what happens though. Maybe I will get lucky.

    Best place for gas?

So I contacted air products and was informed they no longer sell or fill cylinders. Everyone I have called so far will only fill or exchange their own cylinders so I would have to buy new. I haven't given up yet but things are not looking great. I will likely end up buying new bottles at...

    Best place for gas?

I actually thought this was going to be a straight forward question and everyone would just say “go here”. I guess that is not the case. It’s actually oxygen that I am out of right now so I will stick to acetylene for the near future. Might reconsider the options when it runs out. Does...

    Best place for gas?

Yes I have been looking at them for a while but only recently discovered there was a Canadian distributer. Compared to Everlast Canada which I was also considering there doesn't seem to be nearly the "Canadian tax". It was 10% off for black friday and free shipping so I finally pulled the...

    Best place for gas?

Specifically Argon/Oxygen/Acetylene so the suggestions for the local Mexican restaurant are out. I inherited an Oxy/Acetylene rig that I have been using the past couple of years but I now need to refill or replace one of the cylinders. As I was not the original owner of this I am not certain...

    Drill chuck recommendation

Odd coincidence that this topic got kicked up again today as Canada post just dropped off one of the Precision Matthew’s chucks mentioned earlier in the thread. I didn’t have my tenths indicator mounted but with a 0.001 indicator it is slightly less than 0.001 TIR. The quality difference...

Do these potentiometer numbers mean anything to anyone?

R1379443 - Manufacturer is CTS manufactured in the 43rd week of 1994. The other number does not match their manufacturing code though so I cannot tell you anything more from that number. Are you sure there is not another number somewhere on it? You have already gotten great advice from...

Fusion 3D has infiltrated my world

You can move a hole but you cannot copy a hole. Probably not the answer you were hoping for but hopefully saves you some frustration. I similarly use other CAD software for work and Fusion 360 can sometimes be very frustrating when missing seemingly basic functionality. Yet for free home use CAD...

    Bridgeport Parts Canada

No problem. Being new to all of this stuff I have more questions than answers so it is nice to be able to give back when I can. Hopefully they have the part in stock and price is reasonable. I think part 184 on your diagram is H40 on mine. It’s the pin that the collar bumps into to disengage...
