    Touch DRO ESP flashing

When I first connected my unit to the Accu-rite scales on my mill, every time I changed direction of feed on the X axis the display would jump by 0.500". The Y axis did not do this. I played around for a while, and corresponded back and forth with @slow-poke, but couldn't figure out what was...

    Touch DRO ESP flashing

Thought I would start a thread on the Touch DRO so we have a way to centralize information. I understand there are a few others that are going the TouchDRO route with the board designed by @slow-poke. It took a long time for me to figure out how to flash the ESP chip. I am not a programmer...

    Apron repair

Thought I would give an update: I decided to go with the inset plan. Don't have what I need to braze, and don't want to wait to get going on it. So I milled out a section of the damaged casting, shaped a piece so be set in, and put it in place with some plastic steel to seal the edges. I...

Mini rant - who drills the holes on these economy lathes?

German manufacturing: "Is the hole placement +/- .005?" Approved. Chinese manufacturing: "Is the hole surrounded by metal on all sides? Approved.
