  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. Barrel Lathe used for Gunsmithing, $3500, Rocky Mountain House, AB

Hearing that it is running and just needs some TLC the price seems much more reasonable. I bought a 12x36 about a year ago, and paid $3200. Came with a fair bit of tooling and accessories. I don't think it is quite as nice as the one you are selling - at least as far as included functions...

Member buddies and end of life planning....

Am I missing something? Is the forum in peril? I got DavidR8, slow-poke, Justin (DB I think) and Dabbler I can contact, but that might be it. Do we need to start DM’ing each other contact info?

    DoAll grinder needs a home

Looks like it has spend some time out in the Island liquid sunshine. Should be very reasonably priced. Too good for a South Island guy to pass up I would think.

    BB25 B2227L Lathe $425 Sicamous BC

Wow. Assuming it wasn't beat to death, that's a great price! Of course I see it is a "Cut ting" machine. I'm guessing ting is the sound it makes on an interrupted cut.

King 12x34 lathe, $350, Murillo, ON

End of our backyard chicken experiment.

Sorry to hear. We had 6 hens for the last number of years. Lost one to a coon. Would have rather it was a cool hawk than a trash panda. And most of the others to age/illness. We're down to 2. Stopped laying a couple of years ago. I'm enjoying my retirement, so figure they deserve the...

    Silly little question

Thanks for all the input! I have some oilers like those that others have mentioned, but I seem to end up with as much oil around the ball as goes down the hole. I'm thinking of making a tip that has a a rubber collar that I could push down on the fitting so the oil has nowhere to go but down...

    Silly little question

So we all have these "ball oil" spots on our machinery. What is the proper oiler for them called? I confess I have been using a hypodermic needle to sneak oil past the ball, but I'm sure there must be something that actually is made for these fittings. What do they look like/are they called...
