  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. Steam engine patterns for casting

You’re right! You would need the pattern files and the measured drawings so you know finished dimensions. With the advances in CAD software it might not be too tough to work out a pattern. I’ve tried converting a picture to a Fusion 360 drawing but it was a while ago and I think it was a...

    Steam engine patterns for casting

Sorry about the lack of clarity in my initial post, sometimes I wonder if English is really my first language. I’m looking for stl files so I can print the patterns and then cast. I also wonder if it might be possible, if there is nothing already, to start an stl cooperative and come up with...

    Steam engine patterns for casting

Does anyone know where I could find patterns for steam engine patterns for casting? I’ve looked around and can’t seem to find any. I’d like to cast some parts and make my own engines after I am done the ones I am currently working on. Good excuse to try cast iron casting. (I know that’s a...

    Anycubic Kobra S1 Combo

I have had an Anycubic printer for about 5 years now, and I can tell you they have awesome customer support. My first printer stopped working after about 2 years. Emailed them, and they sent me 1) new wiring and small PC Card for the print head, 2) New print head, 3) New power supply, 4) New...

Enterprise 1550 lathe, govdeals auction, Kingston, ON

Sold for $535. And met the reserve. When I first looked at the listing I saw "$25.00" and "Reserve met" and thought they were not too optimistic when they set the reserve - and the lathe went for almost free. Turns out $25 was the bid increment.
