  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Tool Alligator clips for Fluke 77iii

There are a lot of things Queale/Interior may not have, but they have been the best (only?) local-ish place I have found for shrink wrap tubing other than in pre-cut short pieces.

    Apron repair

That's exactly how my lathe does it. The critical word is "partially". It does just have a fill cap and the gears are apparently splash oiled, or by oil carried up from the gears in the bottom. No channels and holes like Tom's. What information I have says what type of oil to use, but not how...

Absolutely zero banking/financial stuff on my phone. Only app is Cornell Ornithology's "Merlin". Oh, and many gig's of music on a SD card...

Repair looks great! My cousin famously said "I got married - I didn't go blind."

    Shaper $375

Maybe, but not everyone lives continually on their communications devices. Sometimes people take days to get back to you - working, long weekend, whatever. Looks like a great project for somebody (else)!

Shop Tools to keep out in the open?

I like this. I do currently have Imperial wrenches hung, but metric are in a tool box and I have to dig a bit for the right one. Now I just have to find a place on the non-woodworking side for them all.
