  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. Tools you waited too long to acquire

Surface grinder. I wasn't sure I would use it that much, but at $400, no larger than my radial-arm saw and less than 50 miles from home, I couldn't pass it up. I slap something on it almost daily, even if it's not needed. Insulated coveralls. No way to justify heated floor, these things are the...

Running Linux and which version in order to run WINE or some other WIN-7..WIN-10 option.

I've only done it with a Windows 7 or 10 host running Windows XP or 98 in the virtual machine. I just know that it can be done under Linux. I've fooled with with Ubuntu a couple of times, but never got that far into it. Precisely! Once you're in the virtual machine, it thinks it's a real...

Running Linux and which version in order to run WINE or some other WIN-7..WIN-10 option.

Run Windows in a virtual machine under Linux? I've installed virtual machines of older Windows versions to support old software on newer windows versions. They seem to be more stable (and sometimes faster) than the host.

The other end is anchored with a heavy spring and long threaded rod for tension adjustment to the other end...

I'm running the original 1 hp, 2-speed, 3-phase motor powered and controlled by a Vevor 2.2kw VFD. I gutted the drum switch and wired it to the VFD low voltage inputs for forward and reverse. The speed control is just a 10k ohm potentiometer also wired to the VFD inputs and the tach is a $20...

    Solitary Bee House

I like it! That's my new "reason". Speaking of yellow-jackets, I finally found a bait that they will take. Boric acid comes in a bottle with a small thimble cap. Fill that cap and mix it with a tablespoon of canned cat food. I've had them take it all in a day and want more. I haven't seen any...
