No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     We just got back into our house after a week's evacuation due to the Park fire. This was our second evacuation and third serious scare. The first (Ponderosa fire, 2012) came much closer.     Lots of good advice already. Let me suggest you get some similar material and get plenty of practice before you even buy the boat kit. Make your mistakes on stuff you can afford to scrap.
