    IT'S TOO BIGGGGG!

You know, I had (have) a small 2" vise on my mini mill. Great for small things obviously but not so much for anything big or for making aggressive cuts. So I thought it was time to get something bigger, better, more accurate, more cool looking. Well, apparently a 4" CNC vise is almost as big as...

Shop DRO taking away my fun?

Yes!! Those are the very exact reasons why I think a DRO would be cool. I already have an edge finder and use it with the dials which is weird but it works. My calculator gets a lot of use.

My advice would be: #1 - Find the size you want and go up one if you can fit it. #2 - As most are more or less the same, get the one with the features that you need which will be expensive to mod later ie motor. I thought I was getting a better than average one but nope, they're all equally...

    NUMOBAMS 8x16 (NU-210G) Lathe Review

I'm about to post a "bigboy lathe" mod that I've done to this little thing, so I thought I would give a bit of a longer term update on it. It's still functioning and it still makes parts. I've had to redo some of the wiring as it looked kinda dodgy. The motor controller board isn't as...
