    Hello Everyone

@Crosche - Thank you! @PeterT - I've never used those apps either but would be really handy. I've always just recorded some audio on my phone and checked out the frequencies. @YotaBota - Haha check out my colchester thread :D

@Tom O - I've never watched his channel but that is terrible, I hope he recovers. All the confined space training I've done in my life the thought of explosions has always made my skin crawl. That video is pretty terrifying, almost doesn't seem real as stuff like that is usually caught on some...

@Hruul - Apologize I missed your post last time, I picked it up in eastern Saskatchewan after finding on kijiji. @PeterT - Thanks Peter, I'm glad you're enjoying it! I have a lot of 4140 and some W2 tool steel that are both great choices. Both are very tough and heat treat beautifully. I will...

Bad news! I have some shafts and bushings to make... As mentioned previously, there was some play in the input shaft and and second shaft (what I was previously calling the idler shaft). I was hoping the bushings were just worn and the shafts would be good, but also knew better. Right off the...

@RobinHood - Awesome stuff! I will be replacing the equivalent bushing on mine. Looking inside the headstock and at gear stack up from the manual I don't have the same hardened retaining clips, just one long bushing. Hopefully won't run into the same scoring issues on the shaft. On a side note...

@Brent H - Nice? Hopefully... Cheap? Definitely! Always hope to get lucky with a good machine but also not afraid of a project if the price is right. I wish I could go check them in person. I've seen both those in my searches. Really like the old Harrison's but the fresh spray jobs where you...

@PeterT - Luckily no wear in that section! Shaft had a great fit in the casting and very little side to side play on the worm/gear combo. You can see in the pictures of the bare casting that the surface isn't eaten away at all - lots of bearing area on the side of the worm and not too much...

@Brent H - Looks like a great machine in the pictures, nothing seems beat up just dirty. Of course may be a different story in person but first impressions tell me that thing has mostly just collected dust. Haha more time and space needed indeed. here I am wishing I had the selection of...

Nice little south bend in Edmonton. Looks to come with everything a guy would need. Chucks, steady rest, taper attachment, quickchange post, tooling and even a mitutoyo mic. Somebody please go buy this before I do, I am weak, and already have too many...
