    Navigating Tariffs Together

I’’ve been a happy customer of KBC for over 30 years, but don’t think it’s quite accurate to call KBC Canadian. There are subsidiary branches in Canada, but according to KBC’s own website, it is a US company headquartered in Sterling Heights Michigan with three branches in Canada.

rotary table (15"!), $200, Brantford, ON

Just weighed my Bport RT (crappy scale so give a guy a little fudge factor for accuracy) 155 lbs including lifting wings. Looked up my old Troyke- websites are claiming 215 lbs. The lifting wings are quite handy for manual two person lifting so worth a look see if still at the seller’s location.

rotary table (15"!), $200, Brantford, ON

I recall just shy of 200 lbs for mine so it’s just in that awkward zone of almost can lift or shove into position but really shouldn’t. Yeah, I should listen to guys like you trevj. But the Bport RT is sooo much lighter than the Troyke of same size I used to have. Admittedly that was a H/V. Gave...

    Tool spotting blue for scraping?

That’s funny. I wish I could say I haven’t done similar things. I’m an amateur scraper, but I’ve done a fair amount of work and have taken courses from a few guys who are very good. Before the courses I was using a Baldor with a fine diamond wheel. Wasn’t happy partly as it was too efficient at...

Mitutoyo 500-136 Calliper made in Japan, $250, Rocky Mountain House, AB

Not trying to be obnoxious, but is that price real for Alberta?

TOS Metal Lathe 16”x60”, $5000, Winnipeg, MB

Got to admire the honesty of the seller. Reason for selling: “needing a more accurate lathe”. Little anecdote- more than 25 years ago I was looking for another mid sized lathe in Wpg. Came across a SN40 like the lathe here. Was poking around it wondering why a business would sell it so cheap...
