  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. Rockwell 11" Lathe

Wait... how does it go back together again? ...I know all that stuff belongs on there somewhere, but I don't think the cigarette butts and other random gross shit that was under the head-stock does. But the motor spins like a champ! With new belts this thing will purr like a kitten...

    Cheap lathe and expensive lathe

Those Myfords are nice little machines. One of my neighbors saved one that was going to be left behind when his shop changed buildings and it was going to be left in the building that was slated to be DEMOLISHED! People can be so wasteful and silly. Anyways, he moved it out, took it home, fixed...

What keeps me busy (Picture heavy)

Slowly. [emoji14] At least that's how it feels. Ceiling is all drywalled. Just need time to figure out venting, go buy it and some gas-line. Then I can focus on nothing but projects until the spring. Sent from my B15 using Tapatalk

What keeps me busy (Picture heavy)

Yup, for horizontal you have to go stainless instead of regular galvanized, and it gets to be big bucks. Besides, I already have a hole in my roof where a heater was once before, so we're going up! Sent from my B15 using Tapatalk

    Rockwell 11" Lathe

@sorrelcreek thanks for the offer! Yeah, it won't take much to machine at all, I could do it at my work, but if I go in for a 15 minute side job I come out 2 hours later (the manager gets bored and chatty) and since I have other work to do on it right now that shaft can wait until last. I could...

John, if I can find some time I will definitely take you up on that! I'd like to see your shop sometime, you have some nice machines. Unfortunately 'tis the season to be busy, fa-la-la-lala la-la Time's booked. :( Seems like the only things holding me back from getting Rocky running smoothly...

    T Bolts

@Matt_b_m this will be an awesome project for you for sure! In a permanent application like this, I'd put the all-thread into the t-nut to depth and then weld or braze it in. It's a permanent application so may as well make it a permanent fix. As for the tail-stock ram, I don't know about...
