  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     Does anybody know of an attachment for a reciprocating saw that allows a round file to be inserted? This would greatly improve the elongating of holes for slots or simply making the hole larger as the reciprocating saw has the perfect action. Thanks.

    Atlas 10F QC42 Listed for sale.

    As an owner of a Craftsman 12" (identical), this is a beautiful example of a well maintained vintage lathe. If he was closer I'd consider it, especially with everything being offered in the price, but mainly because of it's METICULOUSLY looking condition - WOW!

    In need of, an at least 8 " diameter 4 jaw chuck with backing plate (1 1/2 X 8 tpi)

    Just took it all apart & soaking it in solvent to wash away accumulated crud. My neighbour suggested cleaning threads really well with a battery brush. After that going to blow in clean with compressor then reassemble with a really light coating of machine oil. Learned that it was media blasted...
