The hypocrisy and unfairness in schooling

So many stories I can relate to here. I was at best a C to B- student in junior high, got pushed into matriculation level courses in high school, failed terribly in grade 10 and never caught up. A good part of that was the teachers, part of it was my own disinterest as I struggled with the...

The hypocrisy and unfairness in schooling

It seems we are all of a like mind on education and the school systems. I've always felt that the school system past elementary grades is designed by academic minds to favour academic minds. The problem is, a good portion of kids and people are not wired for that. This does not just simply allow...

    Little one day projects

I made another luggage plate this week. This replaces the one that I'd made before to fit over the rear section of the seat attached to the grab rails. The original worked well but had a few drawbacks that I wanted to improve on. First was the need to mount my Rotopax fuel can to it, second was...

Anyone going to the Calgary Motorcycle show?

The show is a bit better than last years overall. More space with the adventure zone in its own area. Still lots of HD type gear which is not my style and a handful of non motorcycle related vendors. Still hit and miss with some of the brands not present including BMW.

    Gerstner Tool Chests

If the wood is prone to warping, it means it is moving due to moisture (just uneven absorption on one side). If the wood is moving, then the cross grain piece will need to account and allow for the movement so the panel does not split. This is essentially a breadboard end which is never glued...
