    Little one day projects

Getting ready for a motorcycle trip later this month down south and needed a luggage plate to secure a soft bag on the back. Not running the aluminum boxes for this trip, but still need them for future use. This plate just clamps to the existing rear rack. The plate is 3/16" aluminum. Managed to...

Are wives (or husbands...) that bad?

I'm one of the lucky ones. My wife doesn't care what hobbies I spend my money on so long as it keeps me out of the house and her way while she's working from home. She actually tells me I need to spend more money cause I'm retired and don't need to build more savings (she's a Financial Planner...

Do you guys use collection bags in your ShopVac?

I have a few shop vacs. One old one that I use to clean up metal chips from the lathe and mill. That one is bagless. My larger one gets used for woodworking, mostly for portable power tools like sanders and such. That one I use a bag in to help reduce the dust plugging up the filter and to make...

I ran across some info online a while back that those pans are worth some pretty good prices in good condition. Mine are way...

What Projects Are You Considering This Winter?

I looked at options and decided I'll just haul it down myself. Should be an easy three days each way driving and will be cheaper than commercial transport plus airfare for to get me down there.

What Projects Are You Considering This Winter?

My main project this winter is a woodwork one. I'm building an entertainment cabinet to hold our TV and equipment. I'm not making it an easy build though as I have done my own design and am doing it in Greene and Greene arts and crafts style in cherry wood with ebony accents and leaded glass...

    Little one day projects

No plans, which is often how I work just figuring it out in my head and adapting on the fly. There are several cottage industry makers producing these sorts of lifting devices, I just looked at pictures of a variety of them and came up with my design.
