    Half-Nut Engagement

It is pretty simple but also easy to forget. The threads you mention all have a complete number of threads every ⅛”. Therefore you can close on any threads on the leadscrew. Even numbers of tpi have complete threads every 1/2”. Corresponding to 4 threads on the leadscrew. My thread dial has a...

    Half-Nut Engagement

That interface just indicates when you close the halfnuts. The halfnut/leadscrew is what determines the actual threading.

    Half-Nut Engagement

Tips/Techniques What is your favourite part of a project?

Yay! My vote put us 20%ers in the lead! Things I would add to the poll. Tearing things apart for the scrap bin and wondering ”what can I use this for?” Looking through my scrap bin rather than going to buy stuff. what I dislike, finding something in the scrap bin after I went and bought...

    Fusion 3D Trials & Tribulations

I‘ve never used it very much but in Fusion you can reference your one dimension to another. You can then change the first dimension and the second one will be scaled accordingly. This could be used to adjust for shrinkage. There well may be an easier way. If you’re 3d printing the pattern...
