Bambu Labs to implement an authorization and authentication protection mechanism

The RFID can be side stepped by respooling new filaments onto Bambu spools. I had almost bought the X1C but went to Prusa.

Grinder for removing swelling on hot rolls

That is right. We believe this should work as we are just removing a small amount of metal and not in a rush to do so. Going to set it up next week and try it. Fingers crossed! Pierre

Grinder for removing swelling on hot rolls

This has been idling for a very long long time. Rolling mill rolls are ground flat but when heated they expand but not equally across the working length, as the heaters are usually in the center and the end which are near the oil cooled bearings are naturally cooler. I bit the bullet

From the original RepRap of 2004 to today, the machines have become less of a kit build in most cases to turn key. I was looking at many machines and when the Bambu X1C came out I almost hit the button! I didn’t as I ended up wanting and needing a large build envelope. I did end up with the...

So I've jumped into the rabbit hole

The robotics teams use lots of 3D printed parts and used as the frame and outer protection. Surprisingly robust in the combat theater! This is not in the unlimited class, in the lower power levels with spinning disk impactors etc. Printed gears for lathes in nylon are fairly common to replace...
