    New Windows

Wind blasting by the windows was also a determining factor in going back to the rough opening. With an old house, it is good to return to the bones and check things out. My dad’s father was a carpenter back in the day of pride in the job. Do it right and do it once. Dad and I are of the same...

    New Windows

I bought double pane Energystar windows except for the two on the street side, which went with triples. The dealer suggested that I look at triples for these last two windows. Tonight was a perfect autumn evening, but bad for pics

I use my Canon Ra for the camera. I have not gone down the even more expensive dedicated astro camera, with 4-8 filters, filter wheel, and 4-8 times the time required to shot all those filters! I use PixInsight for stacking etc. used to use DSS. There are many others. Pierre

Tonight was a perfect autumn evening, but bad for pics

I just use WiFi back to the house. The observatory is about 20 feet from the house. As for a 13 foot mirror, I always found the “ key a pain to use quickly!
