    WTB: 5HP 3PH motor 600-1200 RPM

There is, though it's one more level of complication. I was thinking of doing v-belts from the motor to the jack shaft, and flat after that. But I'd rather avoid it if I can. One advantage of the belts is that the hazard is lower for dogs' tails. Putting a 4' long cage being the machine...

    What's Paul up to?

It's been a really busy start of the year with very little shop time - most of it has been going into the kitchen renovation. But there are a few wins this week. First, chimney is finally up for the forge. I had to make up a collar to support the chimney against the roof purlins. It's a...

    WTB: 5HP 3PH motor 600-1200 RPM

Netflix price increase at wrong time entirely

I exactly agree. I cut Amazon Prime the day they showed me an ad. Netflix has the same treatment. I don't ever pay the mouse if I can help it (they reneged on a contract early in my career - f them). I don't need them any more than I needed cable in the 90's, which was not at all.

    What's Paul up to?

Was much easier to pay someone to deliver and put it up. Didn't cost that much more than just getting the board delivered. Two guys walked in and they were done in 3 hours. I haven't bothered to tape/mud.

I tried replacement bulbs, but something about these cans has them running hot and failing early. I gave up.

    What's Paul up to?

The key word there is "retrofit". The new install ones are a fraction of the cost - I got 16 for under $200, iirc. But the cans have to come out and my smallest ratchet barely fits in and doesn't stay on well. Yeah, yeah, that's why we pay electricians the big bucks.
