  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. What's Paul up to?

Yeah. Kitchens have changed. Nowadays you need a designer who can generate the CAD to drive the CNC panel cutter/edge bander, and an installer who can scribe panels to your walls accurately. And then shell out a fortune to the quartz cutters. The pricing gets more uniform though that CNC...

Travis at Wroughten Art dropped off a laser cut package for me a little bit ago: My welds putting it together are embarassing, but adequately structural. The design is nice - all the tabs have little cut-aways, so your welds are automatically recessed. You know, except for those I *really*...

TouchDRO unit looking for a good home

I recently upgraded my TouchDRO units on my mill and lathe to the newer Plus versions. That's left me with one 4-input TouchDRO unit in need of a good home. If you're local to me, you're welcome to take it for a drive and see if it will work for you. Price? Just paying it forward.

    WTB: 5HP 3PH motor 600-1200 RPM

That looks totally usable! And I'll be in Victoria on Tuesday. And I might even have a 2HP 3PH motor here in my stable, though that means changing the motor on my compressor again. If I can get that done today I'll bring the 2HP one to town and we can figure out how to trade them. DM...
