  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area. Don’t be shy, sign up and come, or plan your own meetup!

Well fsck. My last print came out like this: Filament feed looks to be weak. Tried some cleaning, running some nylon, a dry pull. No joy. So I set the thing to maximum heat to change the nozzle. Here's half the nozzle plasticized into my 7mm socket: Freaking mess. Letting it sit for a...

I understand why they sell an under bed mower for the thing. But I'm going to find a 54" cat-1 I can drag around instead.

It's magic. The cabin is so much quieter that people actually *talk* in transit. And 300l of fuel later I've made 42 crossings, probably make 44 before I fill. I used to get 34-36. So it's 25-30% more fuel efficient.

I'm going to scan it reasonably well and post it. Yeah, copyright etc, so I have to figure out an easy way to host it.

Reminder - Vancouver Island Meet-up THIS weekend! Everyone Welcome!!

I should add that thanks to @BenoitL I now have a copy the the 1988 article that describes the 5c chuck I wanted to build before I built the drawbar version. It's well-described here: https://www.hobby-machinist.com/threads/diy-5-c-collet-chuck.8079/ And thanks to @YotaBota for the...

    JCDammeyer's 42 projects

The 01005 are frightening. They make sense - on a modern CPU you have hundreds of power domain (ground and voltage) pins on a ball-gate-array. In theory you need the bypass/filter capacitors, and any other related RC logic, "as close as possible" to the pin. As at the frequencies and low...
