  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     I love the old popular mechanics magazines, where they showed how to repair your car motor, or use parts of your old car motor to make shop tools. So much more ingenuity and reusing of existing materials back then. Now it is mostly throw away and buy new.

    I would guess that is a 2 gallon tank. Mine is a 4 and has the two tanks stacked. Like DavidR8 said, I tried a 4 gallon portable tank in line with mine, it helped extend the air I got for the short term, but not for continuous air supply.

    My little compressor says it will do 5.7 cfm @ 90. I have never found another that will claim that, or that this one can either. It is an Iron horse I bought around 15 years ago or more from House of Tools. Keeps up ok with smaller air tools, but not my MAC 1/2" impact and runs out quick with...

    I am looking into getting a rotary table, and noticed that some have three slots at 60 120deg. and some have four slots at 90deg. Is there a good reason to select one over the other or does it really depend on what you are planning to mount to the table that makes one better over the other...
