How can I add a togglable magnets to my bicycle frame fixtures?

That's pretty neat! I'll admit that at present I'm looking more for something off the shelf I could purchase. Too many projects already on the list haha! I found this article that explains toggling magnets a bit more. It looks like the serious switches all use steel enclosures so that the...

Got the front triangle welded up! Tomorrow I start on the rear end. These welds wont be winning any awards, but I think they'll do lol. Feedback is welcome :).

How much should I sell my old mill for?

Well nonetheless it's very impressive! I think this would probably be closer in value to a RF-45 clone than a RF-30 clone. It looks pretty stout and the horizontal capabilities add some value so I would try to find current or recent listings for some of those machines to use as reference. I'm...

I should add that most of the tubing above 0.035" at spruce aircraft is more reasonably priced. If you look at my bicycle projects thread, the recent posts are about tubing vendors.

How much should I sell my old mill for?

Wow is that mill a DIY build? It'd be hard to put a value on something like that. I don't know that I have any helpful suggestions for value, I just wanted to inquire about the origins of it. If it is a DIY machine, I don't think you are going to get very much for it, but being in...

Tips/Techniques Feedback on Brazing techniques and results

I just checked spruce aircraft, and their 1" x 0.028" tubing is $40/foot, so it would actually be cheaper for me to sacrifice this seat tube LOL.

Well maybe you just need to restrict yourself to a Ti-build, and then you’ll feel its too expensive ;)

I should also add, there are a bunch of finishing tools that one would not expect to buy but to get a capable local bike shop to do for you, such as facing and reaming headtube, seattube, bottom bracket, etc. I have a good relationship with the shop I worked at so I’ll get access to these for...

You can buy plain jane chromoly tubing from Aircraft Spruce Canada. All my practice welding tubing is from them. I can't find anywhere else that stocks 0.028" and 0.035 tubing. -Front triangle and fork blades are from TorchandFile -Rear Triangle from BikeFabSupply -Dropouts, fork steerer, a few...

How can I add a togglable magnets to my bicycle frame fixtures?

Thanks for the suggestion. I've done a little googling and it looks like most magnetic clamping products have the switch above the magnet. One extra benefit of the magnetic indicator bases is the switch is on the side so I think they would be easier to combine.
