    UPS gripe

Can't speak it, can barely understand it. But if a beautiful Woman starts speaking to me with that southern Drawl, I start melting like warm butter. Same with a thick Irish accent.....They get me everytime.

Possible candidate for 3-phase for my lathe?

Not a bad deal for a 1hp motor and VFD. Buy it if you've got the cash, and a project in mind for it, but I wouldn't buy it to swap for a lathe with a 1.5 hp currently. Might be nice on a drill press or something though. Or build another grinder..... I would love something like that for my...

Welcome to Westwood Metalworks, What is he building in there?

Venting is very important with all castings, and you have to evacuate the air in order to replace the cavity with liquid. The trouble sometimes is trying to think like water and being able to visualize how a mold will fill, and how the air will get out. The "rules" for lost foam are a bit...

Welcome to Westwood Metalworks, What is he building in there?

I'm using mostly white PVA "tacky glue". A small bit of hot glue also, but not much on this one. Both very recommended in the foam casting communities, and are supposed to burn out very similar to the foam with no issues. The wax should as well, as long as it's a lower melting temp wax. My...
