    Product Cordless tools

Those are a beautiful little compact tool. I love mine. Great balance, handy size, and quite reasonable power too. It's the one battery powered tool I use more than any other. Next after that is the M12 drill with a drill chuck. Quite often I use both together. Drill a hole with the drill...

New to me Ammco 7" Metal shaper

I just cut 2 wooden supports for my tool chest and put the chest on them lifting one pair of wheels off the ground. It's WAAAAY better on the 3 lowest speeds. But the highest speed is still a wild animal trying its best to kill something. I'll cut two more wooden supports before I try something...

Need to get drill bits for tapping

I agree with this totally! I almost NEVER have one drill size for a given tap. Instead, I pick the drill size closest to delivering the clearances I want for the material and application I am tapping. @Warlock - I wasn't really going to say anything about anything till I saw your chart. I've...

Need to get drill bits for tapping

For the last 20 years or so, I stopped buying cheap drill sets. Now I mostly buy individual Dormer drills as I need them at my local Varco. They do online sales too. My local Varco maintains a full stock of metric, imperial, and numbered drills. I have not had a bad one yet. I believer Dormer...

New to me Ammco 7" Metal shaper

I only briefly considered them cuz I don't want to remove the wheels. But at $2 each, I could bolt a stack together. That said, the shaper frequency is very low and plain old blocks of wood are probably just fine. That way I could also make a cradle for the wheels so I don't need to worry...

New to me Ammco 7" Metal shaper

It's raining today and my bride is ignoring me, so I slipped out the back door and made a bee line to my shop. I'm tired of crawling around the shaper so I dragged it over to it's new spot and put it in place. It's now neatly lined up with my lathe, my mill, drill press, and bench grinders. If...

    New welding table

Snap-on used to sell something like that. It was a ratchet adapter for breaker bars. I think I can see "on" on the shaft for Snap-on. It also looks a bit like a torque multiplier but isn't really big enough.

Homemade Magnetic Mini Tool Rest to turn Wood or Soft Metal

Ahhhh!..... I didn't really recognize that before as a tool rest. But I see it now! Good idea to put it on a magnetic base.

    John W’s tool grinder

Holy Crap John! Now that's a PROJECT! Can't wait to see the final product. I'm very jealous of your talents!
