Look! A MOAV!! (mother of all vices)

Too funny. I really liked @140mower 's version too. You clamp the table to the vise.... But you actually touched a nerve there Dan. I'd imagine that my little shaper is gunna wanna dance around my shop when it's running. I'd like to put it on top of one of my tool big chests with some 2x4...

Funny dot on Windows 10 user icon

I'm so done with all desktop laptop computers. Not much I can't do on my android phone and what I really can't do, I really don't miss. Just in the process of doing backups of my desktop and laptop...... AGAIN! Why why why why why? I used to think Raid was the cats meow. Until the raid...

You are right to call me out on that. I am so used to what I see in binoculars which don't see the full extent of Andromeda from here either. My bad. Still, it's downright amazing to think about that monster lurking mostly hidden from our view speeding toward us at over 100km/sec (400,000...

    Telescope secondary mirror support system

Ironically, other than colour, and how friggin many there are, there really isn't much to see looking at stars. It's the globular clusters, the nebulas, the galaxies, and the many other deep sky objects that turn my crank. Whenever the sky is black and the seeing is good, I always start with...

Welcome to Westwood Metalworks, What is he building in there?

Hey Dan, one of the things I learned when I was gluing in the shower walls in a previous house was the idea of using blobs of glue instead of lines. Alternatively one can use alternating lines like this: The idea is to prevent trapping air between the glue lines. The air can escape between...

    Tool holders for AMMCO Shaper

No wonder it didn't make sense. There REALLY IS a lot going on there! I especially love the oil groove! So ultimately, the idea is to stick a piece of HSS into the sled thingy to totally replace the tool holder and the tiny piece of HSS that the tool holder holds with just one bigger stronger...

    Product Cordless tools

Just imagine what it would be like with a 15! And that's assuming anyone can even afford it! I was afraid to look at the price.
