  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     I counted my strokes per minute. I got exactly 70 which is what the manual says it should be. The belts are at the second lowest speed and the pulley on the motor is a 2" pulley. That tells me that it was intended to be used with a 2". In a way, that's too bad. I had hoped to get a link belt...

    It's a common problem. I rigged my engine lift up so I can lift from the top of the beam and don't need all the underslung links, hooks, swivels. This bought me about a foot. Maybe that's not enough either though.....

    Thanks for the reminder Craig. I still didn't get springs for my Gerardi vise. It just fell off of my ToDo list and my radar. I don't suppose I could trouble you for the specs again? Hopefully you keep your records better than I keep mine........ PS - I just added it to my shop projects list.
