Making an electric motor adapter for Nema 56C to a B5 D71 Flange

They are a fairly complicated machine, almost rube goldberg in nature. Requires shop air to drive relay/service triggered air pistons for the trimmers and guillotines. The one I have is entirely analog (well almost) but the new ones are a mix of analog and digital.

Making an electric motor adapter for Nema 56C to a B5 D71 Flange

The major outside dimension of the piece can stay 200 or even 180 I think, I'll have to check the gearbox housing for clearance. The end application here is a 'made in italy' by 'SCM' https://www.scmgroup.com/en_CA/scmwood/products/edge-banders-squaring-edge-banders.c863 The EU manufacture...

Making an electric motor adapter for Nema 56C to a B5 D71 Flange

Per the title, I need to make, or have made, a plate adapter to go from a NEMA 56C *inch fractional* frame electric motor housing flange to a B5 D71 *metric* flange. I dont think the Craftex lathe I have access to is a) has a chuck capable of spinning a flange this size, and the RF-30 mill I...

    New to me Hartford Mill

I asked in classifieds first on the off chance someone sees my needs and says "oh yeah I have a motor laying around that meets that spec". Its an oddball metric IEC frame size so I'm not holding out any hope, but it doesnt hurt to ask.

    New to me Hartford Mill

The biggest issue with this is the shaft length has to extend past the flange by a very specific length, plus the shaft diameter needs to be a specific dimension - altho anything can be machined. I dont have the skills and only have part time access to a craftex mill to make a flange of my own,

    WTB: USED 1hp 1ph 1725rpm Frame *71* motor

Per the title, I'm looking for a used Frame 71 motor in single phase and 1725 rpm. This is a specific application that mounts to a gearbox with the integral C-flange, so I cant easily adapt anything else to fit To summarize: IEC Frame 71 1 phase 220V 1725 RPM TEFC If it has a integral B5...

    Monarch 10EE

Keith Rucker has a long term project that seems to be stalled where he's retrofitting modern electronics and speed control to a 1940s or 1950s 10EE. Its proving to be quite complex to replicate the 10EE functions in microcontrollers from what I understand. He hasnt had an update in months.
