    Other Joe Pie ?

I've noticed the same. I believe I read somewhere YouTube has changed it's monetization formula making it hardly worth while for small tach content contributors. Media companies and political content seems to be the order of the day. SAD.

If you were to buy a rotary table again- would you change it’s size?

I have an 8 Inch Vertex I bought at House of Tools years ago. It has a 6 inch chuck so is about all I care to lift. As I get each year older it gets pounds heavier. My mill table is 35 inches so for that reason I wouldn't want it any bigger. At some point I will build a rolling stand that will...

    Is Taper Attachment worth it?

My Lathe came with a taper attachment. In the twenty years I've had it I have never used it. I cut short tapers with the compound. For long tapers I have seen setups that use a boring head mounted on a Morris taper to go in the lathe tailstock. Boring head allows incremental offsetting of the...

    My welding challenge

For the moment I have been trying OA. I get SOME good results, but getting the same heat each time I start the torch is my current challenge. I'm using a zero TIp and turning up the A to get just out of the smoke zone then adding O. The just out of smoke zone is not always consistent. I see why...

    My welding challenge

Just plain old 1018 mild steel. I do have some MIG ER70S-6 that I will try for TIG.

    My welding challenge

It's a kit. Google WTF pipes. The guy is a fan of Kawasaki 2 strokes and makes the kits as a side gig. It does take awhile from order to delivery.

    My welding challenge

After a long wait I received my Expansion Chamber Kit for my project motorcycle. I am very impressed with the laser cut and rolled sheet metal bits. My big challenge now is to weld it together. I'm not sure if I will use TIG or Oxy/Acetylene fusion welds? The metal gage is #20 (.035) so burn...

    Tool Vertical bandsaw or Porta-band?

They do show up on the market occasionally. I've seen a couple on FB Marketplace. Some of the bearings for the gearbox are a bit difficult to source. But, the rest are still in production for the wood cutting model which has been much copied and I think still produced.

    Tool Vertical bandsaw or Porta-band?

I had the good fortune of obtaining a Delta Rockwell 14 inch wood/metal bandsaw. It has a built in gearbox to reduce speed for metal cutting. They were discontinued a long time ago so not an easy find. Mine was in very poor condition and needed a considerable refurbish, but I'm very pleased with it.
