The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. Help choosing material

Now that you mention it I think ITAR/dangerous goods may have had something to do with it. Never miss a chance to give credit to the politicians for their VAT grab though…. I’ve found some companies can be coaxed to ship by the post office but others will swear it’s too expensive or...

Nice work! Nothing wrong with a little back yard tooling. I’ve been known to break out the red neck bending break (angle iron, 2 x 4s and an 8 lb hammer) now and then when I need some sheet metal adjusted. ;) D

    Tips/Techniques Myford (UK) Parts Shipping

If you actually go to RDG’s site vs eBay then you should have no problems with VAT because their Ecom page uses your ship to address to resolve this. Same with the Myford page. D

UPS - They try so hard to make you hate them

Well played! Sounds like the environmental fee Praxair/Linde tacks onto things like replacement lenses for welding helmets and gloves. D

    Tips/Techniques Myford (UK) Parts Shipping

Not sure if it was RDG but something like that happened. If you look at RDG and Myford both business names are at the same address so there’s a definite connection. RDG does offer things for other machines along with some Myford parts. D
