The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. Acme Tap

I do have some acme nuts but as stated, they would be too soft to thread with unless it was soft material. for giggles I called a supplier and got quoted 7/8-6 RH acme HSS hand tap $175 shipped to me. not cheap...but cheaper than $250.

    Clear coat on bare metal?

Do they still use single stage enamel on planes/semi's or is it base/clear now? reason I'm asking is because it was usually some of the most durable stuff available e.g. Dupont Imron Enamel and if it's gone 2-stage, would like to know what is used as clear coat in those applications.

Substantial piece of metal and what they do...they do well. Unfortunately, they don't do a whole lot relative to a milling machine. Had the chance to grab one when I bought my lathe last year and the guy admitted he couldn't give it away (I think it was a hint for me to do that for him).

    Carbide burrs?

re: streaming Sunday Really? Don't recall that was part of the plan nor an agreement on such. It's Josh's place so he can do what he likes and if any remote members wants to tele-presence I'd be cool with that...but there's already too much oversight in the world and I don't think I want my...

    Carbide burrs?

I'm going to check in to the selection of Flexovit burrs we've got at work. If I recall, made in USA. Retail price is a bit hefty but again, I almost never pay that ;) Really want to see how they stand up against the competition and assess 'value' e.g. price vs performance. Is the invite...
