A near miss and big consequences

I had shingles about 20 years ago and had the Zostavax vaccine later. It took over a year for the symptoms to completely go away. Guess I should get the new one!

2021 Modern universal milling machine X6323A, Auction, canadawestauctions.ca

I am familiar with that model. When I bought my Precision Matthews PM1054TV in 2021 I also looked at other machines including the X6323A from Modern Tool. The head is manufactured in Taiwan and the rest of the machine is from Mainland China. It came standard with the 3 axis DRO and X axis power...

Vertical mill, gcsurplus auction, Regina, SK

Could be a nice machine if it's not worn out. 220 volt 3 phase. Power feeds on X and Z. DRO. Power draw bar. Right angle milling attachment. Looks like a 40 taper spindle.

    Product Canadian VFD Supplier

If you buy a low buck Chinese vfd it is a good idea to buy a unit rated about 750 watts higher than the motor it will power. I used one on a milling machine and have another on my drill press and followed this strategy. Both units have been very reliable and are still in use years later.

Cincinnati Milling machine: Regal Auctions Calgary

What a shame to put the old girl out in the weather after all the hard work she's done these many years. I wish I had room to take her in out of the cold. Looks like the vertical and horizontal spindles can run simultaneously. Very cool machine!
