So you have replaced the OS X on the Mac with a different OS so you can use Pi?

    ApplePi

I'm confused - do you like that Macbook (a.k.a. Apple laptop) with the Pi or not? Off topic: I have a couple of Macbooks from that era. If it's a Pro, it usually says so on the display border. Also, there are ways of running newer OS versions on old Mac hardware that work pretty well (search...

    Harrisom M250 at gcsurplus.ca Trenton

Ah, I thought you were part of the Alberta 'crowd' (your location isn't listed). That's even farther than from Victoria.... :) And with fuel prices today, it wouldn't be difficult to add $1-2k + in travel costs. There'a always another bargain just around the corner.... :)

    Harrisom M250 at gcsurplus.ca Trenton

Good luck, but....the listing is extremely clear, so not surprising that you aren't getting a response. You've got 5 days from when you buy it to remove it, from what I saw. Gas up that truck! :)

    Metal lathe Free??? Edmonton

I find "obo" just as irritating as "make me a reasonable offer". What the heck does that mean anyway? Much better is: "Say what you mean; mean what you say." Just IMO, of course......

    Tool Fast shipping of reamer

Re: 15mm reamer. I hadn't done much work with metric sizing and fasteners until this year. I have a...

    Tool Fast shipping of reamer

Lately most of my Ali purchases seem to be coming more quickly than a few years ago. They seem to be shipping from China to a service in Canada (via Air Cargo container??) where the items are combined, re-packaged and sent out via CanadaPost. Nowadays I often get a plastic bag with items from...

Maybe a Logan lathe in Vancouver

There'a always another 'great deal' in the future....no need to grab the first thing you see, unless it's what you really want. :) I really just bought the Logan out of curiosity more than need.

Maybe a Logan lathe in Vancouver

About the model ID and the belt cover: Opinions can differ. It would be much easier if the seller had posted the Serial # which is stamped at the right end of the ways. But, like other useful pictures (drivetrain, bull gear, change gear end) those details are missing. Somebody in the 'Lower...

Maybe a Logan lathe in Vancouver

I figured that out after a bit of thought. Please see my edited version. Yes, I don't see how using a chuck would work instead of a center and dog for things like turning tapers by offsetting the tailstock.
