Anyone know much about 18650 batteries??

I got a few flashlights here that need new 18650 batteries and while looking to replace them I have found some are protected, some are not. Which ones should I get? Which brands should I look at? And last but not least! What charger is the best for them? Thanks all!

Oil can for use with ball oilers

Were you able to get the oil into it without it leaking all over once it was together? When I converted mine over for oil use I had a bugger of a time to get it all sealed so I had no leaks. Also when I put mine together the instructions say to remove the spring on the plunger. I left mine in...

Whats the job market like in Calgary area now?

Thanks for the reply, it gives me something to go on at least. I was employed in the Oil Industry here, but was laid off in the summer. It was time to get out of the oil before I was laid off, and I definitely don't want to go back there either so I am open to pretty much anything now!

Now I just have to get back to it and take the lines out of it and get some nipples and unions to replace them. (it sucks when your closest hardware store is over...

    7 X 12 bandsaw hydraulic downfeed leak

You can use a air operated pneumatic cylinder to replace or even add to a saw without the hydraulic down feed. I picked one up from Princess Auto and tied both inlet and outlets together, added a gauge, needle valve and ball valve on it to be able to lift the saw up. I filled mine u with mineral...

Oil can for use with ball oilers

Funny you should mention this, I had problems oiling my ball oilers on my lathe. I think I got more oil on the outside then went inside, so I converted one of those small grease guns that take the small tubes of grease and converted it over to a oil gun. Now it has tons of pressure to force the...

Carbide Insert Facing End Mills - Which one to get ????

I can easily hog off .030 of hot rolled steel with my 2.5" face mill running 2000RPM I could probably go to .040 but don't want to push my luck too much! That little mill will have rigidity problems, not to mention the lack of H.P. to run a good sized face mill with carbide inserts, with saying...
