  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. If you are interested in doing something in your area, let everyone know and make it happen! Meetups are a great way to make new machining friends and get hands on help in your area.     Tahnks Frank, You know, like all of my machines, I regret selling it. I got it with an 8in vise from Nutana machine here in town for $400! Sold it for the same. I made about half of my gears for the SB 9a on that thing though. If it were an 8in, it would still be in my shop!

    Hi Pete! All brazing for the bikes I made, no arc ever touched them. Mostly silver (56%) and brass (mostly for fillets and the odd lug)...and sadly I SOLD my oxy-acetylene last year to fund (mentally) a tig welder. Now I am looking at oxy-prop setups, and kicking myself. I did a lot of fancy...

    I was in touch with both praxair and liquid air after I read Robinhoods offer. LA told me they won't touch anything bigger than an 80. they don't sell anything bigger and therefore won't exchange that size. Praxair on the other hand said they wouldn't exchange EITHER tank, because their sale...

    Thanks Tom. That is what I did with m oxy/acetylene tanks some 15 years ago. Kijiji got me hoping something might be out there centrally in canada that I could reap some savings on. a new 80cu tank is $547 filled at liquid air :(
