    Wheeled RC Tank Build

@SomeGuy what esc’s are you using? They look pretty similar to what I’ve seen go into electric skateboards. There has to be more information on the protocol.... some kind of a code. PPM and PWM are a little bit generic. All my drones and Helis fly on ppm but like @PeterT mentioned each brand...

    Mill quill dro

Just picked up the 12” igaging dro over Christmas to go on my tailstock. I didn’t like the idea of the fixed connection between the scale and the quill so I used an earth magnet. It’s not finished yet but it’s functional, just needs to be cleaned up

    steel tubing based work bench

Last thing I built that kind of resembled a table was my lathe stand. Have a double slope in my garage and the original cabinets were not going to work well. Also, space is at a premium so extra storage was also needed. It’s made from 2”sq, 3/16” wall so it’s quite heavy. I also wanted to make...

The Move is on - Stairs and 3 tons

@Dabbler the movers for the lathe were really good, the guys for the mill were pretty sketchy and didn’t want help. Sean, the old timer that We bought the machines from was really good about everything. He sat, drank his tea and didn’t say much. The house everything was in was being sold as...

The Move is on - Stairs and 3 tons

@PeterT both machines were bought new in 1984, delivered and set up by the vendor. Never moved since. The mill is definitely 3phase and I believe 220v

The Move is on - Stairs and 3 tons

@Dabbler I bought the lathe and it was getting moved to Leduc. The mill went to a friends house in Calgary. I was having trouble getting help lined up from Edmonton so hired movers off Kijiji. I showed up early and drained the oil, pulled the tailstock, carriage, chuck and had it off the stand...
