  • Several Regions have held meetups already, but others are being planned or are evaluating the interest. The Ontario GTA West area meetup is planned for Saturday April 26th at Greasemonkeys shop in Aylmer Ontario. If you are interested and haven’t signed up yet, click here! Arbutus has also explored interest in a Fraser Valley meetup but it seems members either missed his thread or had other plans. Let him know if you are interested in a meetup later in the year by posting here! Slowpoke is trying to pull together an Ottawa area meetup later this summer. No date has been selected yet, so let him know if you are interested here! We are not aware of any other meetups being planned this year. Milling machine, $3000, Sundre, AB

A bit of a wierd voltage though. 440 would run okay on 480, but it’s already running on 60hz versus 50, so would likely run like a scared cat.

    CA-ON Decent Drill Bits?

Been years since i bought a drill, and other than maybe some specialty use, I can’t forsee needing to buy one for a long time to come. Between places I’ve worked, and buying batches of tools that included drills and cutting tools, and different stuff I’ve been given/inherited, my supply is...

Like everything in the world of electronics these days, it can be as simple or as complex as one wants to make it. The Hydmech saw I just got, is 575v three phase. So is a surface grinder that I have. In both cases, easy/quick on and off doesn’t matter much to me. So I have a 240V single phase...

Shop New to me equipment coming.

Make #4-40 nuts? I make a lot of fixtures and such for the field machining that I do for work. It just so happens that most of them are about this size. Until now, We’ve been getting them cut from plate, but now this is an option between the saw and free material. (Yes, I get these ‘pins’ for...

Tool The one pound gantry crane.

Have to do some thinking to see what I can come up with for loading heavy stuff into the saw.
