Don't feel too bad the last few times I was in Toronto the traffic is so bad. A couple of guys told me rush hour in Toronto starts around 6am and ends around 8pm. I can't imagine doing that everyday. safe travels.

I am curious of the number of teeth for the gear I am guessing its a number based on the leadscrew tpi? You could probably 3d print the gear and use it because it doesn't have any load.
