    I guess what I'm asking for is the data plate info, like the frame size, so I can source a motor, wasnt going 3 ph, still old school thinking I guess, I could go 3ph like my mill is and then vfd drive it... still need that data plate info though, or at least a frame ID number... better not ask...

    sometimes, with no load on, a motor will run quiet, its when its under load you hear things.... not saying thats the case, just bear it in mind.
