    Brass $5 pound

Picked up a couple yesterday. The guy is a little hard to nail down. I got 2-3/4” rods for me and a 1” rod for @slow-poke. Did a quick calculation and one 6’ rod cost me $45 vs $188 at Metal Supermarket. Well worth the drive and the little communication hassle. And I got to see Jeff’s really...

    Brass $5 pound

If anyone is interested, I am going to meet this guy tomorrow morning. I’m planning to pick up a couple of 3/4” bars of brass. Maybe a 1” bronze, but not sure I can bring myself to cut up that much waste. I only need <3/4”, 1mm thick rings/bands. He says he has another alloy that he’s not sure...

    Brass $5 pound

    Brass $5 pound

I would definitely be interested in a couple of bars of 3/4”. I use brass for my pen mandrels. But I use Bronze and Nickel silver for trim pieces on my pens, if he has some 3/4” in those. I could offer a pit stop along the 401.

    What House are you?

I’ve been in the house of Ryobi since they came out. I had some of the original blue. While not really a pro grade tool, I’ve done some pro grade work with them. Remigrated every house we own with the ONE+.

    10th Annual Rust Junkie Fest

It’s back again this year. Just south of Ottawa Ontario 13th July, 2024 While it started out as a collection of woodworkers meeting up to swap tools, it has developed into a very divers meet up of makers. There is even a resident blacksmith (Old Soldier Toolworks). The Last couple of years...
