    Ya OK, I'll rub it in a bit. I got mine as a package including a large box of quality drills, a box of quality taps, a 10ths dial test indicator, a Bison 3 jaw chuck on an arbor, some brass and a box load of other cool stuff for 900. :D

    Jer Schmidt the YT designer/creator. I think he decided that after trying a 3 hp motor and switched to a 5 hp VFD controlled. They can remove huge amounts of steel very fast, more so than a bench grinder which I can bog down with ease.

    Depends what it comes with, don't see extra chucks or a tool post but there are boxes and a collet chuck. Oooo and a tailstock too !

    Welding challenge

    Two things, and yes I get the idea here. First, that part screams fiberglass. Second, try and get the exit of the cooler as far from the firewall as you can. Longer standoffs, different angle, whatever. If you can't get the hot air out then you can't get the cool air in.

    Sorta getting back to the original post, sorta, kinda, well not really. We had a family reunion yesterday. We had 12 of our puppies from three litters all get together. The youngest are seven months old now and for the most part hadn't met their older siblings. Balls and toys flying everywhere...
