Cyclical Mill Vibration & Power Discussion

I can't edit my post. Addendum With constant load a synchronous motor will not change speed relative to the mains frequency, it will vary a small amount based on load/slip ~50 RPM from no load to full load.

Cyclical Mill Vibration & Power Discussion

An oscilloscope would not be particularly useful to evaluate this problem. The correct tool for this is a power quality meter/recorder. We designed and sold them in large quantities to PG&E. Power utilities have these and if you complain they might come out and leave one for a week so they can...

    DRO help

What a word salad that conveys little information. I prefer the way we implemented it in our products. "All uses settings are automatically saved to nonvolatile memory on power down or power failure" One of a thousand reasons we were able to sell our products for $100k per.

    DRO help

My Ditron sums knee and quill. Only complaint is that if I kill the power source, it does not save the coordinates, if I power it off with the switch it does.

    first mill??

The advice I revived here was to look for a good used made in Taiwan smaller knee mill. That was good advice. Found one with tooling and vise for $2500. I'm very happy with it. They do come on Kijiji every 6 months or so, when they do you will need to act because they usually don't last long...

Missing wires on a 3hp motor

I'm curious are you powering this with 240V? The T5 connection to one side of 240V appears incorrect.
