Dang, I missed the contest. No, He has run out of his free supply of common dimension boxes from work so has adopted a new standard. Common boxes stack onto shelves more efficiently than random sized boxes. Ultimately it translates into a higher Stuff : Volume ratio LOL.

larger print example ER collet rack

My original plywood plate idea was exactly that. Just an array of holes. It will support the collets. If the plate is quite thick maybe the collet might rest at a slightly cocked angle vs ar thin material. That probably why a lot of collet trays are stamped steel. But there are these too...

yes, 16mm dia with 8-deg side angle taper, 17mm depth, solid bottom. Collet fit like so. I didn't really realize it before but large ID collets are actually shorter in length compared to small ID. At least the ones I have. They run out of wall thickness on the tool end. I'm also looking at my...

Generic ER collet tray. This happens to be for ER-16 but could work for other sizes as well. I thought about using smaller trays that could be dovetailed together (like the Lego 4 collet holder) but a) Requires a bit more work to develop the locking feature b) Layout considerations. For example...

larger print example ER collet rack

I realized I inadvertently made it 25mm thick but it only needs to be 20mm so that reduced print time to ~6.x hours with default settings. Fits one of my standardized storage boxes just fine. But now I'm kind of having a DUH moment, wondering why I even made 24 holes when I probably have the...

    Force RF45 Clone Parts

I used to have an RF-45 (King model from Taiwan late 90's). Thankfully, my sight glass did not leak but it was a common problem on many machines. You might want to do an internet search because I recall people buying stock replacements only to have the same issue. Or realizing the issue all...

    JCDammeyer's 42 projects

Seems to be lots of stock silicon sheets on Amazon but majority is thinner (for cooking, crafts etc). This one says 0.125" ~ 3mm (probably metric anyways). This is way cheaper on Ali but might be a bit of lead time. I might have something in the shop but if its what I'm recalling, it was red &...

    help making small hinges

Brass is pretty easy to finish, its quite forgiving. I have a whole collection of mini sanding blocks or sticks for lack of better word. I use 1/4" or 1/8 hardboard (MDF-type) scraps because I always have it laying around. Rather than wrapping (typically wet/dry) paper around an edge like a...
