Actually this may be the best option for your bottle gasket. You can generate 3DP a female mold of the ring to whatever dimensions work, then press in silicone mold putty (or pour in depending on the product). I've used this stuff in the past, the properties & material quality does vary a bit...

    Cheap small parts storage

Oh, I get you now. You created a BA with this specific vendor. I'm learning to inquire about this with vendors. Often it doesn't cost anything, and/or better shipping/billing options, and/or no minimum purchase amounts (although some may review annual account activity from time to time & show...

    Tips/Techniques 3DP typical machine threads

Amazon has tips with screw in sizes for each progressive insert. My insert set (arguably of the slightly better insert quality based on the video?) came with a tip so I dodged the bullet till I lose it. My tip is also made of brass which does the job for this purpose. Typically tips are copper...

larger print example ER collet rack

That's a good design. Its hard to beat plywood for many applications like this. The bigger collets & especially any tooling starts to pick up substantial weight. Not to mention that would be a 3 day 3DP job printed in several sections. My ER-16 are tiny, 16mm nominal dia.

The bolt head idea is a better way to finish pushing the insert the final 1mm (left proud when iron removed)/ That keeps the insert is as flush therefore perpendicular as possible. That's better than my flipping the part over on the table which may not even be an option. But a further advantage...

    JCDammeyer's 42 projects

I've used it & I don't think suitable compared to just harvesting baking silicone of the right thickness. The spray on is quite thin, it would take multiple coats to build up thickness & involves fussy masking. Its mor intended as a static coating, not really intended to be torqued on which will...

    Tool Lathe files

Haven't we talked about this before? It rings a bell. They have that kind of old-tymey sticker but (assuming same issue) its basically offshore stuff under the familiar name. Not saying its bad quality, think I have some myself. Now if you find a box of virgin Mitutoyo's I'm coming over with...

    Tips/Techniques 3DP typical machine threads

I'm glad you mentioned this. I obviously had a brain fart & was using the insert specs for my hole, not the suggested hole specs. OK, this makes sense now. Thanks! ps - I learned a new trick where I can make a 'tool' (essentially a part model). Then position the tool with mates to my 3DP part &...
