    It might be easier in the long run to take a heat gun and razor blade to it then recreate the original finish, or just sand and repaint.

    Ah, figured it out, there was an optional plastic curved transparent guard that attaches to the ring. I'll bet it is one of the first things to get broken.

    The parts to renew the oiling system came in from McMaster-Carr yesterday and installed them this morning. The ID of that tube is just barley 2mm, I'm thinking ISO 68 oil is going to have a hard time going through those lines on a cold morning. I'm thinking about using winter weight chainsaw...

    Ducdon Gone.

    After 40yrs of riding a bike I had to hang up my helmet about 7 years ago, it was really tough. My bike had always been my escape, just following the front wheel to where ever it took me. I know exactly how you feel, the sting goes away, ... eventually.
