    I would disagree with that sentiment, big vised are just as handy as the smaller ones if you need it to hold a large dimensional work pieces....a large vise will also hold a small piece but a small vice sure wont grip some big pieces I've had to hold.

    That machine looks like an excellent candidate for a hobbyist....I could buy that for $550 and make one rifle stock from scratch that i could buy for $200 and just stand back and say "wow that works slick" and then just watch er go into retirement mode.
