    Antique lathe still in use

    I have Hendey tie bar spindle lathe from 1918. Still in working condition. not as precise as I wanted it to be, but fits almost all my needs. I will have to rebuild split nut as original (?) made out of babbit is completely worn out.

    if you have resin 3d printer to you disposal (or friend with one) you can try it printing in resin. You will get much more precise and detailed print without layers and filament artifacts, and paintable

    Great. Thanks. Compound slide on my 100+ Hendey lathe is very worn. I was searching trough internet and found different methods of fixing that - from scraping, milling to lapping off each other. this one looks most __right__ one. The only problem - I don't have sine plate :)

    Hi folks. Need to cut glass-in-alum profile scale to size. There are lost of videos and discussion around - people just using band saw or hack saw for that. Who had a first-hand experience - is that really works ? Hack saw cutting glass and not shuttering it ?
