    WTB: Coolant pump

Need a coolant pump for my mill. 230 V There was one there in the sump, used to work - vibrated / fell off the bracket that held it in place, laid on its side in the coolant for a couple years. Can't get it to work anymore. Anyone with an extra they'd sell (Calgary area preferably)?

    Schaublin 70-CF lathe

CSA cert. / sticker shouldn't be too big of a problem. Years ago, lived in BC, was in wood related industry. I bought some Maffel (German)(230V) wood working saws. Importing dealer paid a qualified local (BC) electrician to make a couple changes (grounding and cord ends IIRC). Up-charge IIRC was...

    Knipex Ebay German Seller

I learned of Knipex tools from an Aircraft Mechanic acquaintance of mine. He told me that a high percentage of his work was done with just 2 or 3 sizes of Knipex pliers (doing maintenance work for Air Canada and WestJet). I've bought a couple pairs myself and I do like them, especially the...

Tool Quality of HSS Blanks - Are they all created equal?

From my limited experience, I'd say mainland Chinese HSS in general = not so good. Some HSS I tried from India was terrible. A few times, I've looked for "Rex 76" as it was recommended to me as a particularly good choice for a job I was doing, never found anyone stocking it. Anyone know of a...

Should I wash the grease out of Myford ML7R headstock bearings?

Speculation on my part: I believe some machines come with what look like grease zerks but on reading the manual, they spec. some kind of oil. I presume one can buy proper oil fittings to pump oil into these ?

    D. Gray D&D - HEAVY DUTY KNURLING TOOL KIT

I built one of those 10+ years ago, plans came from a book, spring is a good idea. Suggestion: Hex nut on top. On mine, it takes quite a bit of pressure on that screw, I can't imagine a brass thumb screw being able to get enough pressure (or for that matter, surviving the pressure). I'm using a...

    A question of oil.

I'm liking Fuchs oils these days. I buy Way oil and Gun Drill oil from them, though 20L pails is smallest quantity they sell. Distributor / dealer in Edmonton, Burnaby iirc. Must admit I used chainsaw bar oil as a way oil for several years and don't really see any difference other than dye color.
