    Tried that - its OK, I forgot to bring it to a meeting so people can tell me how bad it is. I think my other square will just cheat and use the grinding on the shaft of the hydraulic cylinder. This is quite precise. Maybe not a million of an inch but quite good. Then I do proper grind of both...

    One can make better cylindrical square from used hydraulic cylinder. It is supposedly precise to a whopping 0.0004mm. At least the finish is nicer!

    It was probably rusted all over the place and they removed the rust. Price is way too high for "unknown" cylinder by "someone in US" in "may have been covered in rust" condition.
