Exactly. I tried using the solid tube ones but found that the flexible worked better especially on oilers that are on a horizontal surface or tucked under a handle or dial.

Too far for me as well. I picked up a bunch of used castors and attached them to 24 X 18 3/4 inch plywood. I have my rotary table, dividing head and four jaw chuck on them and slide them under my work bench out of the way. Makes them easier to get at and move into place.

Wow that is a pretty old for a Portie. Our old guy is close to 14. It would be difficult to be without a dog.

We have had Porties for over thirty years. They do like a lot of attention and need supervision as they are pretty busy. Ours are constantly with my wife, if she is not giving them attention when they want it they will come looking for me as I am second best in their books.

We have two of them, also males.
