Woo hoo! It's a cold snap!

Put'r'ther.. Now is the time to enjoy life, laughs and friends. I don't get out near as much as I can, but I'm fast tracking the boys in hopes to see those days sooner than later.. We are all very different, yet very much the same between age groups... Machinists/Tool makers/mould makers and...

    Shop Old school stuff

Hey Dan, For sure, Mits marketing strategy benefited all of us back then. We were all learning, the $$ was flowing, cutter testing was moving in huge strides. I've been hearing good things from the shops I know running Seco these days. I'm not a fan of them myself and never would have guessed...

The F85's. 442's were too expensive at the time.. Much like your Mustang haha.. Had a family of kids to feed at the time so.., I went outside the norm in Olds... Pulled up with a 76 Olds Cutlass Supreme. Pulled the wheezy 350 out, built a 461CI Fabricated 9" rear with 433 gear/ 14x32-15 tire...

My memory isn't the greatest these days but, IIRC, I was dealing with Guy and the sales team, along with the tooling reps for testing @ Duramill in those years. Er40 collet chuck

Some shops cannot make these types of holders in house anymore, depending on customer approvals. When are made to buy as part of the TE agreements and so on. That certainly isn't something that a beginner in this hobby could pull off IMO. You deserve to give yourself much more credit than you...

Woo hoo! It's a cold snap!

Off topic.. Nah, jus' a little to the right.:p I heard an old wives tale some time ago.... not sure if its true or had a good reason behind it. Anyway, It went something like this, anyone who fingers the eyes, stands over 6' tall with flat feet, should stay on the flats of the land. Your pouch...

Craftec Lathe And Milling Machine And Accessories C$10,000

You may recall, the old school flat top Hertel square inserts from that era... They would plow through P-20 without a hic-up. Even if some bondo fell out of the wooden model while tracing lol. Digitizing turned the clocks ahead just at the rite time.

I'm sure some guys here know, Stellram had some good stuff out in the mid 90's. They went downhill fast when they switched to the index style inserts on the button cutter shell mills. I knocked the pin out of the holder due to cracking of the inserts, however, the inserts still wouldn't stand up...
